Omega 3 gets a lot of praise for what it does for the body, and rightly so. In this short article I’m just going to quickly go over what it does, and why it’s so good.
Omega 3 helps burn fat through organelles(any of a number of organized or specialized structures within a living cell). These are specific energy production organelles with in the cell, which produces more heat which in turn requires more energy thus burning more fat.
Omega 3 activates these organelles and help oxidise fat which can be used by the body as energy.
Omega 3 have been associated with improved memory and prevention of many diseases.
Omega 3s are anti inflammatory meaning that a host of health benefits come in this dietary fat as well as assisting in recovery after workouts.
Omega 3 is found in food such as;
- Chia/Flax seeds
- Fish i.e Salmon
- High quality cuts of meat i.e Grass fed beef
- Egg yolk
