Who am I?

Hello, my name is jack west, I’m a personal trainer, fitness expert and someone who has a really passion and desire to help people become the strongest version of them self. I am committed to helping people look, feel and perform their best.  I want to inspire others to live their lives to the fullest.

How did I get into health and fitness?
I have always been active and playing sports, and appearance didn’t really matter to me growing up. I never really did like the way my body looked, but it never bothered me until my teens. I felt like I looked like a lamppost, or a twig, it didn’t help me being 6’3, it made me look twice as skinny as I actually was. This did have a big effect on my confidence, causing me to keep a top on when swimming, or stopped me making friends with new people because I didn’t have the confidence in myself.
I decided to join the gym, to try to put some muscle and strength on, so in my eyes, back then I would look more like a man, and hoping it would help my confidence. It wasn’t easy joining the gym, for the first couple of weeks I’d get so nervous because I didn’t know what I was doing, but after the initial stages I started to become a little more comfortable, and started noticing little changes in my body which boosted my confidence.

Looking back at my journey I would have never thought by just joining the gym it would have had this much of an impact on my life! It has completely changed my mentality on everything. I have a lot more confidence  when meeting new people, or if I’m doing something out of my comfort zone. It’s crazy to think just becoming fit and healthy, can impact every aspect of your life.

Ever since joining the gym and seeing how it has benefitted my life, I have been obsessed with fitness, I’m always trying to gain more knowledge, from my qualifications, my own trial and error, and reading books. I think it’s so important that we never stop learning, and always strive to become better, and that’s the mentality the gym has given me!

Now I’m here, a body that I’m happy with but still working on, full of confidence, full on knowledge, but still always striving to learn more, and a huge passion to help people achieve their goals, and their happiness, because I know how changing one part of your life can have an amazing impact on all the other parts of your life. Becoming fit and healthy, doesn’t just change you appearance wise, but it also changes you mentally.
